New Brunswick Liberal leader and leader of the official opposition Susan Holt was in Sackville in November, addressing a class of Mount Allison political science students.
Holt gave students got a first hand account of political life from the perspective of the official opposition and of the New Brunswick Liberal party, answering questions about who gets consulted in policy-making, and how the Liberal party handles different opinions within its own ranks. Holt also shared stories from her own path to politics, and how she nearly lost faith in the system after a discouraging day in the legislature while working for an NGO.
