Fans of Shawville author Luke Murphy won't have much longer to wait, as his seventh novel "The Cradle Will Fall" is set to be published later this year.
As the nursery rhyme title suggests, the novel is a continuation of Murphy's earlier novel "Rock-a-bye Baby", and he said he's been working on the plot since around 2019. This latest novel will once again be a crossover involving both the protagonists of his previous novels, Charlene Taylor and Calvin Watters, a choice that he said was something his readers had been requesting.
Murphy's novels are all mystery/crime thrillers, which he said is the genre that he prefers to read. He said he's been asked about branching out into other genres, however the research required to make the jump would require a lot of time and thought.
Murphy said that he doesn't have a firm release date for "The Cradle Will Fall" just yet, but he's anticipating mid-September, with the audio book to be released shortly after.
