Longtime Canadian Television personality Michael Williams hosted the Slocan City International Music and Art Fair last weekend.
This was the second annual Slocan City International Music and Art Fair and the two day event ran from June 16-17. This year's event featured the JC Smith Band, Henry Brown, and Kenny "Blues Boss" Wayne among others.
For Williams, the fair experience in the Kootenays was memorable.
"It was the most magical, wonderful journey and [an] incredible place to be, in Slocan - beautiful little place, great people," he said.
Williams is known for being one of Much Music’s original Video Jockeys (VJs); he worked with Much Music from 1984 – 1993 hosting popular shows such as Soul in the City, Rap City and Electric Circus. Throughout his career, he’s interviewed several famous musicians and groups including Tina Turner, Lou Reed and Run DMC.
