Shames Mountain General Manager Christian Theberge is ready for snow. Shames Mountain is a unique ski resort in that it is a co-operative owned by all members of the resort which can be individual, business, or groups who purchase a membership, resulting in a democratic vision of Shames Mountain.

After two years of limited staff and business interruptions due to pandemic closures, My Mountain Co-Op is thrilled to be open and ready to accommodate all levels of skiers and snowboarders. In 2020, My Mountain Co-Op started an Indigenous Adventure Pass Program which offered significant discounts to Indigenous skiers and snowboarders. In his interview with CICK News, Christian said they did this to "widen the demographic at the ski hill [even though] the population of Terrace is 50% indigenous, that was not being represented at Shames."

My Mountain Co-Op at the Terrace Library began a partnership last weekend that offers Indigenous Adventure Day Passes "on loan" with a library card in an effort for the resort to give back to the community and keep the mountain accessible to everybody."
