The wait is nearly over for those looking to attend this year’s Shawville Fair, as tickets become available next week on August 1, both online and at the fair office (21 rue Lang in Shawville).
The fair is one of, if not the biggest event in the Pontiac each year, bringing in thousands of people over the Labour Day weekend. The Fair Board’s head of communications, Josey Bouchard, explained that things would be back to normal this year, as the government currently doesn’t have any public health restrictions on events. She gave CHIP 101.9 the lowdown on all the musical acts that attendees can look forward to this year.
The Friday night is typically reserved for classic rock acts and Canadian legend Kim Mitchell will take to the stage just like in 2016. Up-and-coming country singer Aaron Goodvin will headline Saturday night while the James Barker Band will top the marquee Sunday evening.
Weekend passes are $50 both online and at the office and day passes go for $15 to $25 depending on the day.
