The Shawville Lions are holding an online Christmas auction again this year, running from Dec. 1-15. Lions member Sara Knox explained that due to public health restrictions, the group was limited in the fundraising events that they were allowed to hold. She added that last year’s auction was a resounding success, bringing in more than $18,000.
Knox said that donations are still coming in but they’re up to more than 30 items already, ranging from gift cards and home baking to an hour-long sight-seeing flight with a local pilot.
For those looking to make some down to the wire bids, the auction closes on Wednesday, Dec.15 at 8 p.m.
