A recent masters thesis titled Community voices as agents of change: 2018 wildfire experiences in the Southside by MA student Susan Miller examines the 2018 wildfire season in Cheslatta Carrier Nation territory through the personal experiences of 13 community members.

2018 was one of the hardest wildfire seasons in British Columbia and the author of the thesis, Miller, examines the effects of wildfire ecologically, sociologically and personally to communities in British Columbia in the paper.

Miller presented her thesis in a webinar hosted by the Bulkley Valley Research Centre in June of this year.
