The McMurray M\u00e9tis Fest was back in action in Fort McMurray over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Celebrated annually, the event was put on hold for the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. President of McMurray M\u00e9tis Peter Hanson says that this is the biggest one they have had yet.<\/p>\n

Following the successful turnout, Hanson adds that the M\u00e9tis Fest is for the whole community of Fort McMurray to enjoy the day and the culture.<\/p>\n

Hanson says that it\u2019s a great sight to see that the youth from all school districts from the Wood Buffalo area attended the event to enjoy the M\u00e9tis culture, calling them the \u201cfuture Fort McMurray.\u201d<\/p>\n
