{"id":95459,"date":"2022-05-11T22:57:14","date_gmt":"2022-05-12T02:57:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/?p=95459"},"modified":"2022-06-16T00:36:20","modified_gmt":"2022-06-16T04:36:20","slug":"ontario-nursing-union-calls-for-better-change-fairness-during-nursing-week-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/en\/ontario-nursing-union-calls-for-better-change-fairness-during-nursing-week-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"Ontario nursing union calls for better change, fairness during nursing week 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>While the Ontario Nurses Assocation (ONA) is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ona.org\/news-posts\/nursing-week-2022\/\">celebrating the work<\/a> of all the province's nurses, it is <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">reiterating the need for better support and fight against Bill 124, which introduced wage suppressions affecting health care workers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As nurses face stifled wages and continue to be short staffed, the union is continuing its fight against Bill 124 and other cuts by Premier Doug Ford\u2019s government, including underspending more than $400 on healthcare since 2018.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Their theme of this week is \u201c<\/span>Dedicated to Care.
