The Lac La Biche Boxing Club athletes were able to head home with one gold and two silver medals wrapped around their necks after big wins at the Golden Gloves event at the end of April.<\/p>\n

The event brought in over 130 athletes from across the country to compete in two days of exhibition matches on April 23rd<\/sup>-24th.<\/p>\n

Head coach of The Lac La Biche Boxing Club Ken Scullion says that it was great for his little boxing club to win one gold and two silver medals at the event.<\/p>\n\n

18-year-old Maria Laboucane\u2019s performance won her silver medal in her bout against former Muay Tai world champion Jordan Dobbie. Scullion says that she did quite well against Dobbie.<\/p>\nhttps:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Boxing-Clip-02-1.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n
