{"id":92574,"date":"2022-04-26T01:28:56","date_gmt":"2022-04-26T05:28:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/?p=92574"},"modified":"2022-06-17T01:37:35","modified_gmt":"2022-06-17T05:37:35","slug":"ndps-wong-tam-officially-launches-toronto-centre-platform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/en\/ndps-wong-tam-officially-launches-toronto-centre-platform\/","title":{"rendered":"NDP&#8217;s Wong-Tam officially launches Toronto Centre platform"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Former Toronto city councillor Kristyn Wong-Tam officially launches their platform for the upcoming Ontario election.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After more than 12 years as city councillor, Wong-Tam decided to run for the NDPs following incumbent MPP Suze Morrison announcing she will not seek re-election.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Their platform focuses on 17 parts - <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">notable inclusions are housing and homelessness, rebuilding the economic vibrancy of the downtown core, affordable healthcare including dental care for all Canadians, childcare, and environmental initiatives.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Several of these focuses are reminiscient of the ones Wong-Tam strove for as a city councillor.
