Photo taken by Vince Kehn.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>\"During the summer of 2021, more than 75 Quadra Island residents came together to taste test over 350 home-cooked recipes created by over 100 professional and amateur cooks, with the goal of publishing the very best recipes Quadra has to offer in a new cookbook,\" reads <a href=\"https:\/\/ruralislandspartnership.ca\/quadra-island-cookbook\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an article on Rural Islands Economic Partnership<\/a> about the book's conception.<\/p>\n<p>Dre Hagen, a Quadra Island resident and one of the many people who worked on the book, spoke with CKTZ News about how the book celebrates \"local\" from cover to cover in its ingredients, images and stories.<\/p>\n<p>The book can be purchased directly from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.islandcookery.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a> or participating retailers, including Marnie's Books on Cortes Island.
