{"id":78346,"date":"2022-01-23T17:10:32","date_gmt":"2022-01-23T22:10:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/?p=78346"},"modified":"2022-01-23T17:10:32","modified_gmt":"2022-01-23T22:10:32","slug":"new-year-new-general-manager-at-the-cortes-food-co-op","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/en\/new-year-new-general-manager-at-the-cortes-food-co-op\/","title":{"rendered":"New year, new general manager at the Cortes Food Co-op"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At the start of January, Mary Lavelle officially stepped into the position of general manager at the <a href=\"https:\/\/cortescoop.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cortes Natural Food Co-op<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The job had been vacant since last March, with the extra duties divided between two senior staff, Meg MacDonald and Carly Mersereau, who acted as interim store manager and interim deli manager, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Lavelle is now officially taking the reigns, having transitioned from her many years of managing <a href=\"http:\/\/mansonshall.org\/about-scca\/board-staff\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Manson's Community Hall<\/a> as well as working at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.islandhealth.ca\/our-locations\/hospitals-health-centre-locations\/cortes-health-centre\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cortes Health Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Eric Hargrave had been the previous general manager for nine years before he and family relocated to Lund last March.
