{"id":73479,"date":"2021-11-12T19:47:19","date_gmt":"2021-11-13T00:47:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/?p=73479"},"modified":"2021-12-12T20:00:07","modified_gmt":"2021-12-13T01:00:07","slug":"the-eastside-culture-crawl-celebrates-its-25th-anniversary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/en\/the-eastside-culture-crawl-celebrates-its-25th-anniversary\/","title":{"rendered":"The Eastside Culture Crawl celebrates its 25th Anniversary."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/culturecrawl.ca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Eastside Culture Crawl<\/a> is the largest visual arts festival of its kind in Canada and this year is celebrating its 25th anniversary. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Vancouver\u2019s Eastside--an area bounded by Columbia Street to the west, Victoria Drive to the east, 1st Avenue to the south, and Burrard Inlet to the north--is home to the largest concentration of artists in Canada. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We talk with Esther Rausenberg the Executive Director of the Eastside Culture Crawl Society, which organizes the annual event. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After a scaled-back festival in 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, this year\u2019s festival is back with an open-house weekend from November 18-21. Rausenberg adds, \u201cwe've added a curated catalog. There's about 120 artists who are included in it, and that gives you a really good sense of the breadth of mediums that artists are working in and gives you a good idea as to what's going to be seen at the time.
