They also adhere to agreed upon values of land conservation and forest protection.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>A recent successful rezoning application paves the way for Treedom to expand the number of homes on the acreage from five to eight.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bcrea.bc.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/housingforecast.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">British Columbia Real Estate Association\u2019s October report<\/a> says the cost of housing in the province continues an upward trajectory, accompanied by a severe lack of inventory.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The local partnership hopes its land model can help inspire other communities looking for options to address the tight housing market.
