{"id":70954,"date":"2021-11-25T17:50:00","date_gmt":"2021-11-25T22:50:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/?p=70954"},"modified":"2021-11-25T17:50:00","modified_gmt":"2021-11-25T22:50:00","slug":"indoor-winter-craft-fairs-return-this-december","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/en\/indoor-winter-craft-fairs-return-this-december\/","title":{"rendered":"Indoor winter craft fairs return this December"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After the cancellation of the two main winter craft fairs on Cortes Island in 2020, both are back, and community excitement is building.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Izabelle Perry of Team Awesome is once again coordinating the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><strong>Whaletown Winter Bazaar at the Gorge Hall<\/strong> on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. She expects about 25 vendors, with all food being served outside this year. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Donations of baked goods are welcome for the snack tent, with the proceeds going to the Whaletown Community Club, which operates the Gorge Hall.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Exactly one week later on Dec. 11, also from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the <strong>Mason's Hall Christmas Craft Fair<\/strong> will take place in the south end of the island.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Masks are currently mandatory inside all public places in British Columbia, but that\u2019s the only requirement for customers at these craft fairs in terms of health restrictions. Both events are open to the whole island and are limiting indoor numbers to 50 people, therefore proof of vaccination will not be required.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">One of the vendors participating in both shows is <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Leyland Dowling, who is known for his handcrafted wooden cutting boards through his business <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.homeculinary.ca\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Home Culinary<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.
