The clinic is open to anyone 12 years and older, and is administering either the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines. For booster doses of the vaccine, an appointment is necessary.<\/p>\n<p>The Corner Drug Store online registration system is also back up and running for anyone looking for first, second and booster doses of a COVID-19 vaccine. A\u201d<\/h3>\n<p>It was just over one year ago that Michelle Roy called out Mount Allison University\u2019s policies for handling sexual assault on social media, thereby sparking a protest that in turn brought action from Mount Allison\u2019s administration. Organised by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/womensandgendermta\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Women and Gender Studies Program<\/a>, a panel of students and faculty at Mount A are gathering to discuss the progress made in the past year on sexual violence prevention at the university. Simpson is a Michi Saagiig Nishnaabeg scholar, writer, and artist, who has been widely recognized as one of the most compelling Indigenous voices of her generation. That talk starts at 7 p.m. tonight and is presented by the Faculty of Arts Speaker Series at Mount Allison. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.ca\/e\/noopiming-the-cure-for-white-ladies-with-leanne-betasamosake-simpson-tickets-201861622547\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">You can find registration links here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Then on Thursday, renowned environmentalist, scientist and broadcaster<strong>\u00a0David Suzuki\u00a0<\/strong>will be speaking at Mount Allison as part of the Presidents Speaker Series. Suzuki\u2019s talk is titled, \u201cWe boast of our intelligence. How the hell did we get into this mess?\u201d and will be delivered virtually, though audiences can participate\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/mta.ca\/presidents-speakers-series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">both online<\/a>\u00a0or in person\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.ca\/e\/mta-president-speaker-series-dr-david-suzuki-tickets-203311689737\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">at Convocation Hall<\/a>. The event starts at 7 p.m., and tickets are free.<\/p>\n<p>Also kicking off Thursday is the<a href=\"https:\/\/sackville.com\/calendar\/bordertown-festival-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00a0<strong>Bordertown Festival<\/strong><\/a>, with two events scheduled for Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>From 2-6 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, <strong>Open Sky Cooperative is hosting a Bazaar and Open Farm event<\/strong>\u00a0with a variety of activities including a DIY Button Making Workshop, guided walks through their Mental Health Path on the Marsh, and live music from Harris McSheffrey and Friends.<\/p>\n<p>At 8 p.m., Live Bait Theatre kicks off three nights of their production, <strong>\u201cA One-Man Christmas Carol\u201d,<\/strong>\u00a0directed and performed by Ron Kelly Spurles. Tickets for Thursday\u2019s show are sold out, but there are\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.simpletix.com\/e\/a-one-man-christmas-carol-live-from-sackvi-tickets-81211\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">still some available for Friday and Saturday<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Then on Friday, it\u2019s\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/sackville.com\/moonlightmadness\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Moonlight Madness<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0downtown, with vendors filling up the streets, wagon rides for the kids, and live music at Mel\u2019s, co-presented with Sappyfest. We\u2019ll have more details on Friday\u2019s Tantramar Report.<\/p>\n<h3>Mitton calls for release of Isthmus study<\/h3>\n<p>When Memramcook-Tantramar MLA Megan Mitton took her turn in the provincial legislature for a member\u2019s statement this past Friday, she could not have known that within days there would be unprecedented flooding in British Columbia that has cut off the major rail and road transportation routes in the province. But it\u2019s hard not to hear Mitton\u2019s warning to the legislature\u2013that the Chignecto Isthmus is \u201cone perfect storm away from being underwater,\u201d\u2013as more urgent in the context of what\u2019s happening to basic infrastructure in BC this week.<\/p>\n<p>Mitton rose to bring attention to the climate risks on the Isthmus, and also to call on the Higgs government to release the long since completed Chignecto Isthmus study. Mitton told the legislature that the area is \u201cone perfect storm away from being underwater,\u201d and that residents \u201chave been living with perpetual risk while successive governments have failed to act.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Canadian vaccination proof now available for New Brunswick<\/h3>\n<p>The new Canadian proof of COVID-19 vaccination document is now available on MyHealthNB.<\/p>\n<p>This document uses the federal standard format adopted across Canada, which is accepted by Canada Border Services Agency and ArriveCAN. It provides New Brunswickers who are travelling to jurisdictions that are using QR codes with a reliable way to show they are vaccinated against COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>The province says that within New Brunswick, the same records will be used for proof of vaccination: an original paper immunization record, or a photograph or digital copy of the same, or, the digital vaccination status on MyHealthNB are all considered valid provincially, along with a valid government ID.<\/p>\n<h3>COVID-19 update<\/h3>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\">\n<p><div id=\"attachment_18091\" style=\"width: 690px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/www.chmafm.com\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/gnb-nov-16-2021.png\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-18091\" class=\"wp-image-18091\" src=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/www.chmafm.com\/welcome\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/gnb-nov-16-2021.png?w=800\" alt=\"A blue and white graphic with information on the latest COVID-19 update on November 16.\" width=\"680\" height=\"510\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-18091\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The latest provincial COVID-19 update.
