{"id":68674,"date":"2021-11-10T16:50:09","date_gmt":"2021-11-10T21:50:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/?p=68674"},"modified":"2021-11-10T16:54:37","modified_gmt":"2021-11-10T21:54:37","slug":"design-ideas-wanted-for-commercial-land-in-mansons-landing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/en\/design-ideas-wanted-for-commercial-land-in-mansons-landing\/","title":{"rendered":"Design ideas wanted for commercial land in Manson\u2019s Landing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Cortes Community Economic Development Association (CCEDA) continues its multi-pronged public engagement process in regards to the parcel of land with the working title \u201cVillage Commons,\u201d on southern Cortes Island, BC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The 2.5 acres of commercially zoned land adjacent to Manson\u2019s Hall have a history of public consultation stretching back to 2004, says <a href=\"https:\/\/cced.ca\/commercial-land\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CCEDA\u2019s website<\/a>. The organization\u2019s \u201c<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">smorgasbord of engagement offerings<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201d <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">that started last month is a mix of in-person and at-home opportunities for community members to bring ideas to the proverbial table, with an eye to finalize a business plan by early 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cortes residents have these opportunities to weigh in:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">an <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">in-person workshop <\/span><b>this Sunday, Nov. 14 has an updated time of 3-6pm<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> at Manson\u2019s Hall. Folks no longer need to pre-register, and the event is open to 40 participants.
