Following Murray\u2019s\u00a0<a class=\"spip_site\" href=\"http:\/\/chipfm.com\/Shawville-Mayor-Sandra-Murray-looks-back-on-her-time-in-politics\">sudden withdrawal<\/a>\u00a0from this year\u2019s race, McCleary was matched up against another outgoing councillor, Patti Moffatt.<\/p>\n<p>He said that he put more effort into his election campaign this year and estimated that he knocked on 65 per cent of the town\u2019s doors.<\/p>\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-68586-2\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Clip-Bill-McCleary-campaign.mp3?_=2\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Clip-Bill-McCleary-campaign.mp3\">https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Clip-Bill-McCleary-campaign.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>He said that speeding in town was top of mind for many residents, and that he and the rest of council would be looking at options when they met for the first time.
