{"id":6691,"date":"2020-08-03T17:43:43","date_gmt":"2020-08-03T21:43:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/?p=6691"},"modified":"2020-11-18T15:36:06","modified_gmt":"2020-11-18T20:36:06","slug":"mansfield-resident-pleads-guilty-of-13-counts-of-acts-of-a-sexual-nature-against-minors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/en\/mansfield-resident-pleads-guilty-of-13-counts-of-acts-of-a-sexual-nature-against-minors\/","title":{"rendered":"Mansfield resident pleads guilty of 13 counts of acts of a sexual nature against minors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lynn Bertrand, 67, of Mansfield, was convicted in June of 13 counts of acts of a sexual nature committed against minors, the events of which took place between 1994 and 2009 with 5 different victims.<\/p>\n<p>Among the charges, Bertrand was accused of touching the body part of a child under the age of 14 with sexual intent, as well as for inviting, engaging or inciting a child under the age 16 years old to touch him, once again for sexual purposes.<\/p>\n<p>Eleven counts were committed against victims who were under the age of 14 at the time, and two counts were committed against a victim who was then under the age of 16.<\/p>\n<p>Bertrand pleaded guilty on all counts, therefore he will serve a total of 3 years in prison as well as be registered as a sex offender for the rest of his life.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Lynn Bertrand, 67, of Mansfield, was convicted in June of 13 counts of acts of a sexual nature committed against minors, the events of which took place between 1994 and 2009 with 5 different victims.
