Photo via the Government of BC.<\/p><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content\/environment\/air-land-water\/water\/laws-rules\/water-sustainability-act\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Water Sustainability Act<\/span><\/a> (WSA), which <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">came into effect on February 29, 2016, seeks to establish equity in use and fees levied on commercial use of both surface water and groundwater.
