{"id":58107,"date":"2021-08-25T12:02:40","date_gmt":"2021-08-25T16:02:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/?p=58107"},"modified":"2021-10-05T23:51:11","modified_gmt":"2021-10-06T03:51:11","slug":"useful-tipi-lesson-in-devon-for-the-treaty-6-day","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/en\/useful-tipi-lesson-in-devon-for-the-treaty-6-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Useful tipi lesson in Devon for first Treaty 6 Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Treaty 6 Day was celebrated in Devon on Monday, the same day it was signed on Aug. 23, 1876.<\/p>\n<p>Two tipis were set up at the Dale Fraser Arena, where some the of the sessions took place for the event.<\/p>\n<p>Gerald Lee is an <em><span lang=\"EN-US\">osk\u00e2p\u00eaw, <\/span><\/em><span lang=\"EN-US\">which means \u201chelper\u201d in Cree, and he's from Maskw\u00e2c\u00ees, from the Ermineskin Cree Nation.
