{"id":56241,"date":"2021-08-12T08:23:45","date_gmt":"2021-08-12T12:23:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/?p=56241"},"modified":"2021-10-06T00:34:39","modified_gmt":"2021-10-06T04:34:39","slug":"hank-snow-fans-head-to-liverpool-this-weekend-for-covid-sized-tribute","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/en\/hank-snow-fans-head-to-liverpool-this-weekend-for-covid-sized-tribute\/","title":{"rendered":"Hank Snow fans head to Liverpool this weekend for COVID-19-sized tribute"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Editor's Note: Vina Moses is the QCCR station manager.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Hank Snow Museum in Liverpool is welcoming visitors to enjoy a taste of the Annual Hank Snow Tribute show.<\/p>\n<p>The big event has been cancelled the past two years due to COVID-19, so the team at the Hank Snow Museum have decided to host a mini-tribute this weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Acting Administrator of the Hank Snow Museum Vina Moses says people understand why the tribute was called off in 2020, when everything was cancelled, but wonder why it couldn\u2019t go ahead this year.<\/p>\n<p>She says it comes down to people not being able to come over the US border.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBoth performers and visitors. We have performers from Nashville come up. We have performers from all over the United States and all over Canada. Photo by Ed Halverson.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The mini-tribute will feature performers who had been scheduled to appear at the Hank Snow tribute show.<\/p>\n<p>The annual event normally requires eight to ten months of preparation.<\/p>\n<p>Moses is awed by the efforts of so many to get the mini-tribute up and running in such a short period of time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe did it in less than five weeks. Don\u2019t ask us how we did it, we just, everyday we worked day and night,\u2019 said Moses. \u201cI mean, we were working here for five weeks straight and we\u2019ve got everything under control and everything organized and we\u2019re really excited about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Because of public health restrictions, capacity at the mini-tribute will be limited to 250 people.<\/p>\n<p>Already, close to 50 RVs have booked their spaces and Moses expects turnout could be at or above capacity both days.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re hoping that people will call and book so that we have their bookings made and we know for sure that we have those.
