Athletica Lac Brome is reopening next Monday.<\/p>\n
The Eastern Townships entered into an orange zone yesterday which allows for\u00a0gyms and restaurants to reopen across the province. This reopening will mark the third one for the town\u2019s only gym this year.<\/p>\n
Gym owner and operator Alan Gauthier mentioned that he could have opened his doors yesterday, March 8, but wants to put in extra work to be over prepared.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne case would be one case too many,\u201d said Gauthier.<\/p>\n
At Athletica Lac Brome, it is not about only about lifting weights and doing cardio, but it is a place to exercise the mind, he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s not a typical gym. It\u2019s not a big box typical gym where you go for spandex and make-up,\u201d explained Gauthier.<\/p>\n
Although excited and ready to open, Gauthier does not want to go through the ups and downs of opening to just close once again.<\/p>\n
The philosophy of Athletica Lac Brome strives to keep all patrons safe and healthy while at the gym. Gauthier is taking this extremely seriously due to the aging population of the area.<\/p>\n
Citizens can enjoy the gym once again starting Monday but there will be reduced hours and capacity to follow safety protocols.<\/p>\n
