{"id":40558,"date":"2021-02-19T19:26:25","date_gmt":"2021-02-20T00:26:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/?p=40558"},"modified":"2021-02-19T19:26:25","modified_gmt":"2021-02-20T00:26:25","slug":"one-covid-case-in-greater-campbell-river","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/en\/one-covid-case-in-greater-campbell-river\/","title":{"rendered":"One COVID case in Greater Campbell River"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Rot L Hales<\/p>\n<p>There was only one <a href=\"https:\/\/cortescurrents.ca\/tag\/covid-19-2\/\">COVID 19<\/a>\u00a0case in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cortescurrents.ca\/tag\/greater-campbell-river-health-area\/\">Greater Campbell River Health Area<\/a>\u00a0as of last Monday, Feb 15th,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.bccdc.ca\/Health-Info-Site\/PublishingImages\/health-info\/diseases-conditions\/covid-19\/case-counts-press-statements\/covid19_lha_20210207_20210213.png\">according to the latest report from the BC Center for Disease control<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This may have been the exposure that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cortescurrents.ca\/tag\/carihi-secondary-school\/\">Carihi Secondary School<\/a>, in Campbell River, reported yesterday . According to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sd72.bc.ca\/school\/carihi\/Pages\/newsitem.aspx?ItemID=272&amp;ListID=d98d76da-9c03-428c-941a-fea4fcf8851e&amp;TemplateID=Announcement_Item#\/=\">press release<\/a>, the potential exposure may have occurred within a PE class on February 10th, 11th and 16th. The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cortescurrents.ca\/tag\/klahoose-first-nation\/\">Klahoose village<\/a>\u2019s immunization program experienced a weeks delay, but is rolling out despite the province wide shortage of\u00a0COVID-19\u00a0vaccines.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cortescurrents.ca\/tag\/chief-kevin-peacey\/\">Chief Kevin Peacey<\/a>\u00a0told the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cortescurrents.ca\/klahoose-immunization-program-continuing-to-roll-out\/\">National Observer<\/a>, \u201cWe hear a lot of our members are jumping at the bit to get in line first.
