Basically, they are asking the politicians to take money from internet giants and give it to them.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Today we\u2019re talking with Dwayne Winseck, Professor at the School of Journalism and Communication at Carleton university in Ottawa, about what\u2019s behind the blank front pages, do Canadian publishers have the right to protest against Google and Facebook, and does anyone have a public interest in mind?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">--<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This program is a part of the \u201cLocal Journalism Initiative\u201d grant program and is funded by the Community Radio Fund of Canada, the Government of Canada, and the CKMS Newsroom.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Check out the archived versions of\u00a0 this program and other episodes on <\/span><\/i><a href=\"http:\/\/radiowaterloo.ca\/news\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">radiowaterloo.ca\/news<\/span><\/i><\/a><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.
