The challenges facing musicians based in Northern B.C and other remote areas have been exacerbated by COVID-19.<\/p>\r\n

Britt Meierhofer, founder of the only independent record label representing artists from Northern B.C Good Egg Records,<\/a> says that she is \"waiting with bated breath for stages to reopen.\" She also says that the pandemic has had positive impacts for herself and fellow Prince George musicians.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

In an interview with CFUR, she discusses the record label, how obstacles like touring and self promotion prove more difficult living outside of the major city centers and how Prince George is closing the gap on amenities for musicians despite limited resources.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Meierhofer has been a staple in the Prince George music scene for years. On top of her work as a solo artist (Britt AM<\/a>), she is also a member of the longstanding Prince George group Crones<\/a> and has toured and performed all across Canada.
