Photo by John K Thorne via Flickr (CC BY SA, 2.0 License)<\/p><\/div>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image is-style-default\"><\/div>\n<h2>The Greater Campbell River Health Area<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bccdc.ca\/health-info\/diseases-conditions\/covid-19\/data\">The BC Centre for Disease Control released<\/a> geographic statistics, on the spread of COVID-19 within specific local health areas.<\/p>\n<p>During the week ending on Saturday, Feb. 6, there were two active cases in the Greater Campbell River Health Area, which includes <a href=\"https:\/\/cortescurrents.ca\/tag\/campbell-river\/\">Campbell River<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cortescurrents.ca\/tag\/sayward\/\">Sayward<\/a>, and the Discovery Islands.<\/p>\n<p>There were also four cases in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/cortescurrents.ca\/tag\/comox-valley\/\">Comox Valley<\/a>\u00a0and one in Vancouver Island North.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, Feb. 7, Loblaws confirmed that one of the employees <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mycampbellrivernow.com\/53351\/campbell-river-grocery-store-worker-tests-positive-for-covid-19\/\">at the Real Canadian Superstore in Campbell River<\/a>\u00a0had tested positive. Photo courtesy of the BC government.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.islandhealth.ca\/sites\/default\/files\/covid-19\/documents\/public-health-covid19-daily-dashboard.pdf\">Island Health COVID-19 Dashboard<\/a> has more up to date information for the whole of North Vancouver Island, which stretches north from Courtenay.
