Crabbe may have been born to it, having started working at Abbondanza, his family's restaurant in Ucluelet, when he was 13.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('audio');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-31802-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/clip-CRABBE-olympic-chef.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/clip-CRABBE-olympic-chef.mp3\">https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/clip-CRABBE-olympic-chef.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Crabbe is working on his Red Seal certification, which is an apprenticeship for cooks.\u00a0 He will receive his Culinary Management Diploma from Vancouver Island University this spring.\u00a0 <span lang=\"EN-US\">Jason Lloyd, the Chair of <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">the V.I.U.
