{"id":28522,"date":"2020-12-16T12:43:53","date_gmt":"2020-12-16T17:43:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/?p=28522"},"modified":"2020-12-18T12:47:12","modified_gmt":"2020-12-18T17:47:12","slug":"installation-of-traffic-lights-at-gilmans-corner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/en\/installation-of-traffic-lights-at-gilmans-corner\/","title":{"rendered":"Installation of traffic lights at Gilman\u2019s Corner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Town of Brome Lake\u2019s request for the installation of traffic lights at the intersection of highway 104 and 139, known as Gilman\u2019s corner, has been accepted.<\/p>\n<p>Le minist\u00e8re des Transports de Quebec (MTQ) will be putting traffic lights at this busy intersection to minimize accidents that occur at this corner.<\/p>\n<p>Traffic lights or stop signs have been installed at other busy intersections such as, Owen\u2019s corner (139 and 104), Mill road and Bondville road.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had the other problem at the Gable\u2019s corner, by the tourist office and consequently they installed the four stops this past spring,\u201d mentioned Richard Burcombe, mayor of Brome Lake.<\/p>\n<p>These requests follow the enormous amount of accidents that occur at these locations.<\/p>\n<p>Construction of traffic lights at Gilman\u2019s corner is projected to begin in early 2021.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Here is Richard Burcombe:<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Town of Brome Lake\u2019s request for the installation of traffic lights at the intersection of highway 104 and 139, known as Gilman\u2019s corner, has been accepted.
