In 1989, a lone shooter murdered a group of women students at \u00c9cole Polytechnique.<\/p>\n<p>Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Premier Fran\u00e7ois Legault were among those present at this year's commemorative ceremony atop Mont Royal.
