Their new <a href=\"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/en\/sinixt-celebrate-grand-opening-of-confederacy-office-in-nelson\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">confederacy office<\/a> recently opened in Nelson.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Delhanty Pearkes is well known for her work researching the Sinixt people and the Columbia River Region. She has written several books on the region, including <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Geography of Memory<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which details the history of the transboundary Sinixt tribe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While she is not Sinixt herself, she is an ally to the Sinixt people. This is what she means with the title Two Worlds, One Heart. She says, \u201cit\u2019s very important for them to have their own voice but we can have a voice too, in support of their voice.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Entry to the show is by donation.
