St Jean explains that one of the event's highlights is a quiz hosted by a podcaster, providing a way to gauge the gaming community's enthusiasm for such events.<\/p>\n
\"We're kind of like testing the waters to see if people are still willing to come to this kind of event and what they would like in the future,\" St-Jean said.<\/p>\n
For those wondering \"What exactly is a Weekend Ludique?\" St-Jean clarifies that it is a dedicated weekend of gaming and fun: it's an extended period of social activities where people can immerse themselves in games, make friends, enjoy food and beverages, and discover new games.<\/p>\n
St-Jean said that all funds raised are redistributed to the event's partners and a chosen charity. This year, they're supporting the 1st Robotics team and donating to a charity depending on the event's financial success.<\/p>\n
With a wide variety of board games available, from family-friendly classics to party games and strategy RPGs, the event caters to a diverse gaming audience. St-Jean mentions that there's really no age limit, although children under 13-14 must be accompanied by an adult.<\/p>\n
Estrie Joue 2023 will take place from Nov. 3-5 in Sherbrooke. Tickets can be purchased at the door or on their website, with options for single days or the entire weekend.<\/p>\n
