{"id":190357,"date":"2023-10-31T12:08:56","date_gmt":"2023-10-31T16:08:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/?p=190357"},"modified":"2023-10-31T12:08:56","modified_gmt":"2023-10-31T16:08:56","slug":"west-kootenay-climate-hub-to-host-solutions-workshop-at-the-nelson-library","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/en\/west-kootenay-climate-hub-to-host-solutions-workshop-at-the-nelson-library\/","title":{"rendered":"West Kootenay Climate Hub to host solutions workshop at the Nelson Library"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westkootenayclimatehub.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">West Kootenay Climate Hub<\/a> has teamed up with the Nelson Library to host a climate solutions workshop as part of the British Columbia Library Association\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/bclaconnect.ca\/climate-action-week\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Climate Action Week<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Laura Sacks of the West Kootenay Climate Hub says the workshop \u201cis not going to be a lecture, It\u2019s going to be a group discussion because there are so many people with great ideas.\u201d <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The workshop will also utilize the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.climateinteractive.org\/en-roads\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EN-ROADS Global Climate Simulator<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to their website, the West Kootenay Climate Hub's mission is \u201cto accelerate climate action in our region, and to facilitate communication and collaboration among our members and our partner organizations.\u201d The organization formed in 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Climate Action Week in BC is Nov. 4 - 10 and the workshop is at 7 p.m. on Nov. 6.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sacks joined CJLY to discuss the West Kootenay Climate Hub, the climate solutions workshop and the current state of the climate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Listen to the story below:<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The West Kootenay Climate Hub has teamed up with the Nelson Library to host a climate solutions workshop as part of the British Columbia Library Association\u2019s Climate Action Week.
