Nelson Leafs goaltender Todd Hiscock<\/a>\u00a0made the first start of his junior hockey career on Friday. He stopped 42 of 45 shots in Nelson\u2019s 4-3 win<\/a> over the Ghostriders in Fernie.<\/p>\n

The following day in Kimberly, fellow Leafs goalie Jackson McLeod<\/a> was assessed a match penalty late in the second period. Hiscock finished the game, a 6-1 Dynamiters win. McLeod has since been suspended for three games<\/a>. He is eligible to return on Oct.14.<\/p>\n

Hiscock and McLeod are expected to have a fairly even share of the starts throughout the season, but with McLeod out this weekend, it\u2019s likely that Hiscock will start all three games.<\/p>\n

Nelson plays Beaver Valley on Friday, Creston Valley on Saturday, and Spokane on Sunday. All three games are at the Nelson Community Complex. They'll be looking to improve on their 2-1 start to the season.<\/p>\n
