A group of Terrace residents from the Terrace Pride Pals Facebook group gathered Wednesday morning to counter protest against the concerned parents for the 1 Million March 4 Children.<\/p>\n

It started with a student walkout at 9 a.m. Both protest and counter-protest groups met at school district 82 in Terrace and later marched to city hall by 11 a.m.<\/p>\n

The 1 Million March 4 Children, a nationwide march<\/a>, was meant to fight against sexual orientation and gender ideology (SOGI) curriculum in schools. The group is also against the use of pronouns, gender ideology, and mixed bathrooms.<\/p>\n

Both Terrace and Prince Rupert communities are doubled up on protesting in the name of children.<\/p>\n

CFNR talked with Nina Valentine, a representative of the Terrace Pride Pals, the organizer of the counter protest in Terrace. But no protesters\u2014<\/span> parents that were gathered at the protest for the 1 Million March 4 Children \u2014 <\/span>were willing to talk with CFNR.<\/p>\n

Later in that afternoon, Joslyn Bagg, president of the Terrace District Teachers' Union #881, gave a statement.<\/p>\n
