The Nelson Leafs play their first game of the season tonight against the Revelstoke Grizzlies.<\/p>\n
They started training camp with 47 players and have cut the roster down to 25. Two local players Seamus Boyd<\/a> and Drake Proctor<\/a> made the team.<\/p>\n In the pre-season, the Leafs won one game and lost three. This year\u2019s version of the Leafs will see two new coaches joining Head Coach Briar McNaney<\/a>\u2019s staff. Former Leaf Cole Arcuri<\/a> is in his first season as a coach, and Russell Sanderson<\/a> joins the team from the Campbell River Storm.<\/p>\n \u201cI have a lot of trust in these guys and I\u2019m giving them as much [responsibility] as they can handle,\u201d Mcnaney says.<\/p>\n McNaney joined CJLY to discuss the upcoming season and preview tomorrow\u2019s game against Revelstoke.
