{"id":156037,"date":"2023-05-26T15:22:56","date_gmt":"2023-05-26T19:22:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/?p=156037"},"modified":"2023-05-26T15:22:56","modified_gmt":"2023-05-26T19:22:56","slug":"council-greenlights-new-dump-truck-with-winter-implements","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/en\/council-greenlights-new-dump-truck-with-winter-implements\/","title":{"rendered":"Council greenlights new dump truck with winter implements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Tuesday, Prince Edward County Council approved of the purchase of a new single axle dump truck with winter implements for the cost of $368,604.10.<\/p>\n<p>The heavy truck <a href=\"https:\/\/princeedwardcounty.civicweb.net\/FileStorage\/891DA491517D4CBAACACA35E3330C191-OPS-07-2023%20FINAL%20(CAOsigned).pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">will be provided by Premier Truck Group, the sole bidder<\/a>, for the purposes of replacing an aging existing unit in the county\u2019s fleet.<\/p>\n<p>Though council had approved of the truck\u2019s acquisition in the <a href=\"https:\/\/princeedwardcounty.civicweb.net\/FileStorage\/63C792D9EE5047C0941D836FC05210BE-2023%20Proposed%20Tax%20Supported%20Capital%20Binder.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2023 Capital Budget<\/a>, the final price for it came in at $26,027.31 overbudget.<\/p>\n<p>In response to this, Ameliasburgh Coun.
