Since October 2021, Terrace's George Little House has experienced three break and enters.<\/p>\n

March 2 saw the most recent break in, just six days before the heritage house's 17th annual Founder's Day celebration and three months after a Dec. 3 break-and-enter.<\/p>\n

\"I'm not going to let this person not allow me to celebrate Founder's Day,\" Debbie Letawski, manager of the heritage house said of the decision to go forward with the celebration.<\/p>\n

Though this year's celebration was on a much smaller scale, attendees like George Little's descendants Linda Bee and Lynn Christiansen were dressed formally for the tea party on March 8.<\/p>\n

Previously the home of George Little, one of the earliest residents of the city, the building is now a historical train stop for passengers of Via Rail.<\/p>\n

Although the RCMP has not provided any details on the string of break-ins, Letawski feels they may be perpetrated by the same person as she felt she noticed similarities looking at security photos and videos.<\/p>\n

Terrace RCMP has also not specified whether the Sonbada's Steakhouse break-in<\/a> is related.<\/p>\n
