Hockey Championships.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>While attempting to defend their title, the Terrace Minor Hockey Association's U18 tier 3 team will play host to the 2023 B.C. Hockey Championships this month.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After all three of the city\u2019s minor hockey teams won their respective zones tournaments, they\u2019re now getting ready to compete for gold in the B.C. championships.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">While there was a break in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19 restrictions, the U18 teams at the time won both the 2019 and 2022 B.C. championships.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Chair for the U18 tier 3 B.C. Hockey Championships Frances Tooms says that having the chance to defend the title at home is exciting for the players.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Terrace Kermodes will be playing a total of nine teams for a shot at either bronze, silver, or gold medals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The first match-up happens on Sunday, March 19 between Castlegar and South Okanagan. For the <a href=\"https:\/\/championships.bchockey.net\/schedules\/11947?fbclid=IwAR0S_RXe6AafSqExOh9FHD0PEO5p5ZYkqT8ZN7S_-mLH0DwKc5_s8ZB1hXs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">duration of the tournament<\/a>, games will start at 7 a.m. and run until 10 p.m.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Semi-finals start at 5 p.m. on March 22 with the gold medal game commencing at 11 a.m. on March 23.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Listen to the CFNR story below:<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CFNR is a sponsor of the Terrace U18 2023 B.C.
