{"id":128337,"date":"2022-11-23T16:24:57","date_gmt":"2022-11-23T21:24:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/?p=128337"},"modified":"2022-11-23T16:24:57","modified_gmt":"2022-11-23T21:24:57","slug":"trigons-second-berth-in-prince-rupert-now-under-construction-with-federal-funding-boost","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/en\/trigons-second-berth-in-prince-rupert-now-under-construction-with-federal-funding-boost\/","title":{"rendered":"Trigon&#8217;s second berth in Prince Rupert now under construction with federal funding boost"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After a two year wait, Trigon Pacific Terminals Ltd. has started construction on their \"Berth 2 Beyond Carbon\" project on Ridley Island in Prince Rupert after receiving federal funding.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On Nov. 16, the federal government announced that Trigon would be given $75 million through the National Trade Corridors Fund, which aids in transportation infrastructure for goods and people.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In 2017, Trigon\u2019s previous owners started the permitting and development process to build a second berth on Ridley Island.
