{"id":128323,"date":"2022-11-24T14:51:30","date_gmt":"2022-11-24T19:51:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/?p=128323"},"modified":"2022-11-24T14:51:30","modified_gmt":"2022-11-24T19:51:30","slug":"regional-district-welcomes-11-new-directors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/en\/regional-district-welcomes-11-new-directors\/","title":{"rendered":"Regional district welcomes 11 new directors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Regional District of Central Kootenay has welcomed 11 new directors to sit around the table, which makes policy decisions for 160 services around the region, such as recreation, emergency management, water systems and more.<\/p>\n<p>The directors were sworn in at the RDCK inaugural meeting last Tuesday, when the board also re-elected chair Aimee Watson for her fifth consecutive year. Salmo Mayor Dianna Lockwood secured the vice-chair position over Area H Director Walter Popoff, who was defeated in the vote. Watson said she was excited to continue to do the work that she enjoys.<\/p>\n<p>\"I really am inspired working with such a diverse team.
