{"id":127610,"date":"2022-11-18T16:28:10","date_gmt":"2022-11-18T21:28:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/?p=127610"},"modified":"2022-11-18T16:28:10","modified_gmt":"2022-11-18T21:28:10","slug":"regional-police-seize-over-1-1-million-in-illicit-drugs-two-men-arrested","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/en\/regional-police-seize-over-1-1-million-in-illicit-drugs-two-men-arrested\/","title":{"rendered":"Regional police seize over $1.1 million in illicit drugs, two men arrested"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">A two-month long drug investigation conducted by regional police services has resulted in the arrest of two people and the seizure of firearms and over a million dollars in illicit drugs this week.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Dubbed project <a href=\"https:\/\/www.brantfordpolice.ca\/news-2-arrested-firearms-and-over-1-100-000-in-illicit-drugs-seized-in-project-menace\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MENACE<\/a>, the Brantford Police Services, assisted by the Ontario Provincial Police Tactical Unit and the Six Nations Police Services, executed multiple\u00a0 search warrants on Nov. 17 in Brantford.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Police seized suspected crystal Methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl with an estimated street value of $1,178,310. They also seized a large amount of Canadian currency, a handgun, prescription medication and approximately $200,000 of jewelry.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Brantford residents Dennis Colton, 27, and Ryan Forbes, 24, have been charged with numerous criminal offences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cI am extremely proud of the excellent work and collaboration demonstrated by the Brantford Police Service and the Six Nations Police Service.
