The Kingston Symphony partnered with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony for <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Score: The Art of Video Game Music. <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Kingston Symphony General Manager Andrea Haughton says, The Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra will present the same concert earlier in the week, with both shows featuring Swedish concert producer <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Orvar S\u00e4fstr\u00f6m.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe\u2019re bringing him to host the shows, he'll be talking more about the games and the music behind them. He\u2019s done a lot of concert production specifically with video games\u2026Thousands and thousands have attended these especially in Europe\u2026We\u2019ve done concerts featuring music from various movies and films, but this is definitely something new for us,\u201d says Haughton.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Kingston Symphony Communications Coordinator Lucas Murphy says you\u2019re going to get something from every era in gaming history.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cNintendo, Super Nintendo, PlayStation, some of the biggest hits in video game history\u2026You\u2019re going to see some really interesting music here, and covered in a format you\u2019re maybe not used to, you\u2019re using to hearing blips and bleeps and chiptunes, now it\u2019s a full orchestra,\u201d says Murphy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">He adds \u201cSome of these composers, their work stacks up with the best of the classical composers.
