St\u00e9phane Par\u00e9 hoisted the Gerald Lees Trophy at the Royal Ottawa Golf Club in Aylmer after winning the three-day, multi-course tournament by five strokes, topping a field of 65 competitors.<\/p>\n<p>Taking place from Monday to Wednesday, the tournament started off in Rockland Golf Club, where Par\u00e9 made par with a score of 72. He had a good outing on Tuesday at his home course, the Renfrew Golf Club, shooting four under par for 67. Heading into the finals on Wednesday at the Royal Ottawa, Par\u00e9 was sitting with a two-stroke lead and said that he played a more conservative game, shooting two over for a score of 74. His overall score of 213 was enough to claim first place. He said that he was happy with his performance, especially on his home turf in Renfrew.<\/p>\n<!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('audio');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-108664-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Clip-Stephane-Pare-tournament-results.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Clip-Stephane-Pare-tournament-results.mp3\">https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Clip-Stephane-Pare-tournament-results.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>Par\u00e9 said that the competition was solid throughout the three days, and noted that two other players out of the Renfrew Golf Club, Jonah O\u2019Connor and Jaegar Prot, took second and third place respectively.<\/p>\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-108664-2\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Clip-Stephane-Pare-competition.mp3?_=2\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Clip-Stephane-Pare-competition.mp3\">https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Clip-Stephane-Pare-competition.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>Par\u00e9 had competed in the tournament before as a junior, even winning the City and District Juvenile Championships back in 2010, but stopped playing competitively for a period in his early 20s.
