The Indigenous Experience<\/a> will be featured at this year\u2019s K Days event in Edmonton for the first time.<\/p>\n

The attraction will offer a space for people to gather and learn about\u00a0 the histories, cultures and experiences of First Nations' and M\u00e9tis peoples in the Edmonton and Beaver Hills regions. It will also include an opening ceremony and fun activities for the kids to take part in.<\/p>\n

The Indigenous Experience content was informed by conversations with over 50 Indigenous Elders, educators, historians and community members.<\/a><\/p>\n

Poitrais says the event will have a children\u2019s area which will feature the Ben Calf Robe Society<\/a>. The organization will offer different educational opportunities to the children by making crafts and teaching them about the culture.<\/p>\nhttps:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/MarleneP-Audio-Clip-03.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n

One of the partners that will be contributing to the event will be Encore<\/a> \u2014 the event management company will be setting up the visuals and sounds, along with setting up the stage. Indigenous Day is Monday, July 25 at K Days: free tickets will be available for Indigenous peoples at Indigenous Edmonton Entertainment Group Association<\/a>. K Days is the annual summer exhibition that runs 10- days in Edmonton. K Days 2022 is being held from July 22-31.<\/p>\n
