After a hiatus due to the pandemic, the Shawville Parent\u2019s Voice group is once again hosting their popular \u201cTouch-a-truck\u201d event this Saturday. Things will get underway at the Shawville Fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.<\/p>\n

Parent\u2019s Voice President Alina Holmes explained that the group hosted their first such event back in 2016 and it was a tremendous success, attracting more than 400 people to come check out the big rigs and heavy equipment. Children will have a chance to climb on the vehicles, toot the horn and learn about how they\u2019re used.<\/p>\n\n

Admittance to the event is free of charge thanks to community sponsors, but donations are accepted. In addition to the trucks, the day will also feature bouncy castles, face-painting, and food provided by the local Lions Club and 4H Club (food will be cash only).<\/p>\n
