He claimed an overwhelming majority of the votes with 175, compared to 25 for Roslyn Carter and 5 for Brian McMahon.<\/p>\n<p>Lamarche built a cottage in the area back in 1995, but it wasn\u2019t until 2016 that he moved to the area full-time.<\/p>\n<!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('audio');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-106536-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Clip-Daniel-Lamarche-time-in-Otter-Lake.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Clip-Daniel-Lamarche-time-in-Otter-Lake.mp3\">https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Clip-Daniel-Lamarche-time-in-Otter-Lake.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>Lamarche was formerly in the concrete and stone business, based in Bristol Mines, and he said that now that he\u2019s sold the company he has more time to commit to local politics.<\/p>\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-106536-2\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Clip-Daniel-Lamarche-before-politics.mp3?_=2\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Clip-Daniel-Lamarche-before-politics.mp3\">https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/Clip-Daniel-Lamarche-before-politics.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>Lamarche said that he would sit back and observe at first, as he was new to municipal politics and the files that council is currently working on.
