{"id":106251,"date":"2022-07-18T18:33:59","date_gmt":"2022-07-18T22:33:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/?p=106251"},"modified":"2022-07-18T18:33:59","modified_gmt":"2022-07-18T22:33:59","slug":"psychotherapy-new-mediums-and-inner-worlds-on-display-at-the-old-schoolhouse-exhibit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/en\/psychotherapy-new-mediums-and-inner-worlds-on-display-at-the-old-schoolhouse-exhibit\/","title":{"rendered":"Psychotherapy, new mediums, and inner worlds on display at the Old Schoolhouse exhibit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Over the weekend, the Old Schoolhouse Art Gallery opened a new show called <em>Sacred Dreamscapes<\/em>. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The artists behind the exhibit, Kira MacDuffee and Majie Lavergne, are also psychotherapists. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWe'll be working with using some of our knowledge and skills from that world to interact with the expressive and we'll use the art as a way to explore our inner world,'' MacDuffee says.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lavergne breaks down his <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.majie.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">series<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, explaining what audiences can expect.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cIn each of these abstract paintings, you can find the word 'love'...I deconstructed through lines or circles and the \u2018E\u2019 of love always ends up at the bottom of each painting, thus creating a sense of consistency.
