She stopped by the CHIP 101.9 studios this week to talk about her experience on the big stage.<\/p>\n<p>Lusignan was no stranger to high-level athletics, as she recently placed first for her weight class in the Canadian Nationals. She explained that she typically has a lot of nerves prior to competitions, but she was well prepared this time.<\/p>\n<!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('audio');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-103495-1\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Clip-Naomie-Lusignan-nerves.mp3?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Clip-Naomie-Lusignan-nerves.mp3\">https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Clip-Naomie-Lusignan-nerves.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>Lusignan ended up finishing in sixth place out of 15 competitors in her weight class, which she said was a little disappointing initially. She said that she would take some of the lessons she learned, particularly around stretching and the mental preparation, to her future competitions.<\/p>\n<audio class=\"wp-audio-shortcode\" id=\"audio-103495-2\" preload=\"none\" style=\"width: 100%;\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"audio\/mpeg\" src=\"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Clip-Naomie-Lusignan-lessons.mp3?_=2\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Clip-Naomie-Lusignan-lessons.mp3\">https:\/\/canada-info.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Clip-Naomie-Lusignan-lessons.mp3<\/a><\/audio>\n<p>Lusignan just celebrated her graduation from l\u2019\u00c9cole secondaire Sieur-de-Coulonge and will shortly head out on her next international competition, the Junior Pan-American Championships in Guatamala.
